US April PPI Year-On-Year Rises To 0.06 As Monthly Rate Holds At 0.01

The United States Producer Price Index (PPI) year-on-year growth accelerated in April 2026. The core indicator fd_ppiyoy reached 0.06, up from the previous month's reading of 0.04.

Momentum data indicates a gradual strengthening trend over the last six months. The year-on-year rate stood at 0.03 from November 2025 through January 2026, edged up to 0.04 in March, and further increased to 0.06 in April.

On a month-on-month basis, the fd_ppipop remained unchanged at 0.01, matching the March figure. This follows a period where the monthly change was 0.00 from November 2025 to January 2026, before rising to 0.01 in February and sustaining that level through April.
